Zinke Swimwear Launch

Last night the Sky Room at The New Museum in NYC played host to the lovely team at Zinke Intimates for the launch of their new swim line.  Already a fan of their lingerie, I was curious to see what this youthful and fresh label would bring to swimwear.

Pretty pastels and highlighter pen colours were combined with geometric patterns and soft feminine touches in the new swim collection.  Features included bandeau tops tied with pretty bows, plenty of ruffles and simple, sleek cover ups that surely won’t be confined to the beach.  There was something both retro and modern about the new collection.  In trying to decipher the influence of different eras on the new designs I felt there was a splash of the 40s (seen in the full briefs) with a touch of a 70s disco fever mixed with crop tops and fluorescent colours that gave it an 80s feel.

My favourite piece from the collection was the yellow two piece (below) – the peplum detailing on this was just gorgeous.  This is absolutely coming with me to Ibiza next year.

The styling of the event was wonderful and the chunky wood and metallic jewellery deserves a post all to itself for sure.

What do you think of Zinke’s new swim line?

The swimwear collection will be available to buy soon.  Keep your eye on the Zinke website for further information.
