RigbyandPeller_swim_swimsuit_onepiece_1Just before my vacation to the Canary Islands earlier this month, I made time to pick up some pieces on my vacation-wish-list at (and have a much needed catch up with) Rigby & Peller and I also heard about some of the exciting new developments at the label.  Predominantly a lingerie brand and retail destination both online and via their beautifully laid out boutiquesI admire them for their passion about fit and expert styling, which you can read more about HERE.

Rigby & Peller have expanded to offer a swim collection, including their own label designs.  Overall what you will find is a super flattering collection of one pieces and bikinis where loving attention has been paid to support and lift.

I picked this azure one-piece out from the Conduit Street boutique’s swim collection and it was something I truly loved wearing on holiday.  Created with a sweetheart neckline and ruched panels twisted across the torso and adorned with gold clasps,  it was the perfectly accompaniment to the summer sunrise.

Azure blue is said to be the colour of ‘true contentment’; something that inspires determination and ambition to achieve great things, and a sense of purpose in striving for goals.  This is also what a two week vacation can do for you, but the suit really did give me the head start :)

MIKOH Swim

Mikoh_Swim_StyleonthecouchA two week holiday in the sun is without a doubt the perfect antidote to the stresses and strains of modern life.  I’m remarkably good at doing nothing for someone whose job is to think, reason, critically analyze and never take ‘knowledge’ without question. Give me some sun, a pool, an iPod loaded with my favourite music and a copious collection of swimwear and I’ll be right at home…

For my current trip I packed incredibly light.  Quite unusual for me! However movement only between pool, sun lounger, pool bar, and apartment does not require special dresses and high heels.  So for this holiday series you’ll see a lot of swimwear, some shorts and tops, and well, maybe one long flowing dress (I am a fashion blogger, after all).

Wearing: Barbados top and Miyako bottom from Mikoh Swim.

Be A Bond Girl: Bordelle Swim Collection

When one of my favourite lingerie brands moves into swimwear, you can guarantee a flurry of activity as I book various beach holidays and plot my next move to Capri.  Bordelle, a provocative, dominant and sexy lingerie brand, have designed a collection of swimwear guaranteed to bestow on you immediate Bond Girl status.

Curve enhancing lines, a hint of bondage and inspiration from the likes of Honey Ryder (the bikini-clad entrance of Ursula Andress in Dr No is an unforgettable Bond Girl moment) makes for a stunning collection.

The aptly named Bond-Age bikini set (image top of post) comes with moulded underwire cups and side boning for added structure.  The set comes in three shades: black, ivory and poppy red each with shimmering honey.

For those who prefer a little more coverage, Bordelle have designed several beautiful one pieces, like the Olympia swimsuit (image below).  The piece de resistance however has to be the Bond-Age swimsuit, modeled on the brand’s signature hourglass silhouette and embellished with 18k gold plated hardware and an adjustable elastic overlay.  This piece can be worn in a variety of ways and naturally is high up on my Christmas wish list.

You may not possess a name that is a double entendre, but if you want to be a symbol of glamour and sophistication like a Bond Girl, visit Bordelle swim on their website here.

Bordelle lingerie is also available to buy on their site; in Selfridges; at Coco de Mer and Mise en Cage.
