Friday Lingerie Lust: Naked Princess ‘A Thousand Kisses Deep’

Back in June I featured the first collection from lingerie and boudoir brand Naked Princess.  Named ‘Lovely Ever After‘; a gorgeous collection of lace, cashmere and modal fabrics in styles designed to complement the female figure beautifully was one of my most popular Friday features.

This week I’m presenting the second collection from Naked Princess, entitled A Thousand Kisses Deep‘.  Inspired by founder Jordana Woodland’s love of exquisite lace and couture lingerie these pieces have a special occasion feel, with some easily falling under that favourite category of mine, out-to-wear – like this boudoir garter camisole (above and below):

In this post I’m just focussing on the lingerie within the autumn winter 2012 collection.  I’m so much in love with the new additions to the lip and body care line they deserve a feature of their own another time – like this body and boudoir candle.

When the wax melts to a touchable temperature it is transformed into a massage oil.  Below: My Naked Princess collection. Je suis fan? Moi?

The philosophy of Naked Princess is close to my own heart.  A luxe and comfortable collection aimed at inspiring women to “live beautifully, love deeply and reign joyfully” I think these pieces make a wonderful gift or investment in yourself.  Below, the Chantilly Lace Robe with plunge neckline:

I was lucky to meet with co-founder Rebecca Frank before I left NYC to preview the spring summer collection for 2013, named ‘Butterflies Begin’.  Heavy on lace and introducing some soft colours (lavender, rose and peach) it’s another exciting collection for its inner wear / outerwear potential.  And gorgeously luxurious. All of it.

Friday Lingerie Lust: Naked Princess

This week I discovered a wonderfully romantic collection of lingerie with a fabulous philosophy to accompany the designs.  Naked Princess is more than just lingerie;  it is about a world of sensuality and boudoir luxury aimed at enlivening the senses and enchanting the imagination.

With the boudoir as a state of mind, founders Jordana Woodland and Rebecca Frank have created a clean and comfortable collection of beauty, body and lip treatments and luxury lingerie aimed at inspiring women to “live beautifully, love deeply and reign joyfully“. For this reason, Naked Princess is one of the best examples of the reasons I began my Friday lingerie features in the first place – to inspire women of all shapes and sizes to get in touch with themselves and their (inner and outer) beauty.

Made in the USA, the lingerie from Naked Princess is created using lace, silks and cashmeres from France and Italy. They also utilise natural fibres for their designs, such as MicroModal which has a fabulous feel on the skin.  The MicroModal and lace bodysuit from the spring collection 2012 is my favourite piece (image top); an exceptionally figure flattering body with plunge neckline in cream, blush and charcoal colourings.

The lingerie is sized from xs to xl – designed without underwires yet if more support is your thing, check out this glowing review by The Full Figured Chest about how this lady found the bodysuit worked for her.

The first collection from Naked Princess is named Lovely Ever After, inspired by a love letter.  The lip and body proportion of this collection is quite beautifully packaged and would make a lovely gift as well as a treat for oneself.  Based around a custom made Vanille Blanc scent (Moroccan vanilla, sweet almond & exotic tonquin bean infused with vitamin E plus organic shea, jojoba & soy butters), a boudoir candle can also be used for massage.  The candle sits alongside a body/room spray and several lip glosses, treatments and polishes formulated without parabens, phthalates or GMOS, continuing the natural philosophy of the line.

There is a lot to like at Naked Princess. Since their philosophy is one that is close to my own heart, I do hope you take a look at their collection.

Have a lovely weekend, Blog Reader! The sun is shining here in NYC so it is time to play… I have a post on one of my favourite new dresses from the Reiss summer collection 2012 on Saturday, plus next week I’m sharing with you a style inspiration who is one of my all time Twitter and Instagram crushes.  I have a feeling you will fall in love with his style just as I did.  Until then, have a great Friday! StyleOnTheCouch xo

Friday Lingerie Lust: Beautiful Bottoms

Delicate, vintage inspired and ultra feminine, my heart skips a little beat for Beautiful Bottoms spring collection 2012.  The colours are beautiful – a soft palette of taupe, mint green, pale pink and neutrals surround distinctive bird prints – peacock and bird of paradise.

Collections are also named after birds – Dove is a soft and romantic line of icy whites and blue-greys, the robe from which makes a perfect cover up as well as loungewear piece.  I wore this robe several times in Turkey last week, a beautiful design.  Bluebird (picture, top) is a charming colour, the shade of cornflower blue which seems perfect for tanned skins and pale complexions alike.

Peacock is perhaps the most striking from the collection, a feather print in vibrant green hues.  Bloom (below, the non padded wired comfort bra) departs from the bird theme but is very much in keeping with the rest of the collection with its nature inspired cream, lilac and pale pink floral print.

My favourite set from the collection is the Kingfisher Tie Front Bra and Ruched Knicker in vibrant electric blue (below):

There is also a very cute playsuit in the Kingfisher collection, picture (image below).

Beautiful Bottoms have created a gorgeous collection of lingerie and loungewear that is quite versatile – for the beach or the boudoir be sure to check out their full collection here.

Have a lovely weekend, Blog Reader.  I have some Turkey-related travel posts for you next week along with a look at the new autumn winter collection from Reiss - see you then! xo
