Friday Lingerie Lust: Lascivious AW12/13

It is with great excitement, Blog Reader, that I bring you the new autumn winter 2012 collection by Lascivious for this week’s Friday Lingerie Lust.  One of my most lust-worthy features to date, this season Lascivious treat us to three new amazing and sexually explosive collections inspired by ‘love’ – Lola, Isla and Cara – whilst retaining their signature classics for us to enjoy all year round, such as Lila (below) and Kitty (final image, below – and yes, MIAOW).

“Our autumn winter 12 collection is inspired by the notion of love as a binding entity – something you want to be chained to; lustful, base and raw. This mood and idea has been deconstructed to draw inspiration literally from flesh and bone – from our Lola collection, with its sinuous flowing design lines, through to Cara, which features an ivory bone colour over which a luxe gunmetal chain is digitally printed.
There is also a circular theme running through the ranges, with eyelets, circular cut outs, mesh and components. The Isla collection features a patent leather playsuit that can be laced in any way the wearer chooses – the ultimate in restrictive freedom; and a new collaborative collar and cuffs with Fraulein Kink, available for wholesale for the first time. Highlights of leather and [faux] fur are included to stimulate the senses; the juxtoposition of hard and soft (heart and bone) echoing the central themes for all AW12 ranges” ~ Lascivious

Regular Blog Readers might already have spotted my favourite piece from the new collection – image top shows the Isla Long Body Piece and thong, the body garment being a striking show-piece made from eyelet tape which can be fastened and tied in many different ways to harness the body.  I’m already envisaging this as both inner and outerwear and I’m really impressed with the styling of this piece in the editorial.  Lascivious, this is just why I love you…!

My joint favourite has to be the Lola Basque (above).  A beautifully dramatic body with pleated fins at the hips and contrasting cut outs and panelling, the removable suspender attachments allow this piece to be worn as inner or outerwear too.  It’s a very modern interpretation of the traditional basque and one done very well.

The classics from Lascivious include some fabulous ivory pieces, and at this point I have to give them a shout out for naming one of their collections after me.  Above: Sarah-Lou – delicate French hand-beaded lace, silk and an oyster satin bow.

Finally, Cara (above), created in-house by the Lascivious team.  Subversive and provocative, Cara is a limited edition range of bra and briefs/string, suspender and vest – get in there quick if it takes your fancy, I can guarantee it will not be around long.

I salute you, Lascivious for your continued effort at being fashion forward, directional lingerie.  You can catch the brand at Curve in New York City this year too.

Have a wonderful weekend, Blog Reader! It looks like being great weather in NYC and I’m hoping to enjoy the outdoors, humidity permitting. I’m also planning a trip to Charleston next weekend, so if anyone has any suggestions of things to do or places to go please leave me a comment below.  I think it’s going to be an exciting trip!

StyleOnTheCouch Loves: Fleet Ilya

Fleet Ilya is my biggest obsession right now.  A label you might recognise from countless fashion editorials, Fleet Ilya turns heads.  Husband and wife, designer and creative partner Ilya Fleet and Resha Sharma are known for their amazing pieces made from smooth saddlery leather with brass or silver hardware.  Their designs for spring 2012 are beautifully crafted and perhaps represent the most wearable collection from the brand.  Bags, harnesses and belts in extraordinarily unique and aesthetically pleasing shapes are created using a palette of soft blue and beige, fiery red and basic black.

The body harnesses from Fleet Ilya are my favourites.  Both their thin hip harness and the red leather/PVC triangle harness (picture, top) are styles I am dying to wear over simple dresses and tees*.  The red version is quite special for a style such as this and I like that there are several adjustable straps, allowing you to fit it to your shape.  The simplicity of these two harness designs also make them very appealing to me.

Fleet Ilya’s signature is restraint wear, however the collection overall ranges from the demure to the bold, with pieces for everyone from those with an eye for well crafted leather designs to the fetish fashionista through to the highly adventurous.  Sharma, a Central Saint Martins Graphic Design graduate, has applied her knowledge of fashion and art direction to blur the line between leather bondage and fashion accessories.

In forthcoming posts I’ll show you how I’ve been styling my beige leather cuffs from Fleet Ilya.  Here is a sneak preview, worn with the London Skyline Tee from Emma Louise London:

I’m interested – would you wear, Blog Reader? Which styles appeal to you?

*Having said that, this I feel would have the most impact.
