It is my pleasure to be a guest writer for that innovator of lingerie, Nineteen13 again. This time I am styling the Gemini Harness by NYC based accessories designer Zana Bayne. To read the full feature head over to Nineteen13 this week!
I will keep this post short, Blog Reader, if you will allow me, because I am sure I will never find the perfect words to explain just how magical this day was and how wonderful I felt being a part of it. Last weekend I got married to a love who makes me laugh and smile every single day; whose creativity and kindness inspire me and whose touch makes me go weak at the knees.
And so, here I am wearing my wedding dress, the Rosebud Halter Dress (click HERE to view the same style in black) from Australian brand Lover The Label - a fan of their lace, this was perfect for our modern wedding. The Rosebud Halter is a backless, fitted dress in a floral French lace with slim satin halter ties and a hemline that comes to a point at front centre and is longer at back. I received excellent service from Lover’s flagship boutique in Sydney, Australia – if you want to know more about their designs as an international buyer you can email them: firstname.lastname@example.org – please tell them I sent you their way.
Photos: The fabulous Lydia Hudgens who I was so happy to be able to work with again. Lydia snapped some more photos for me during my trip back to the US where the wedding was held – did I mention I had two dresses, not one, Blog Reader? Oh well now you know – the bride here wore Lover The Label, the dashing groom Tom Ford (I wonder if said husband will let me post some pictures hmmm.)
As always, thank you for being a StyleOnTheCouch reader.
Without a doubt, a collection I look forward to previewing is that of the supremely talented Alice Yim New York. She produces instantly wearable, modern and minimalist pieces, all highly feminine and very sophisticated. One of my favourite little black dresses ever, the Raina Dress (above, photo by Lydia Hudgens) is a design from Alice. Rather than being ‘on trend’ for any particular time of year or a mere fashion fad, Yim’s styles will easily transition from season to season. Her collection for spring summer 2013 is a dreamy assortment of beautifully fitted and draped skirts and dresses, chic tailored shorts and pants, vest tops and rompers. My favourite piece is the Posy Skirt in Onyx – a wonderfully full lace design with leather waistband.
You may, Blog Reader, be drawn to the lemon chiffon and canary yellow Amaryllis Dress. It has a lovely criss-cross back detail and handkerchief design – perfect for summer.
I can’t stress enough how much I want you to go to Alice’s website right away and explore her collection further. You can now SHOP Yim’s collection online – click HERE to browse.
