Fleur of England Forever balcony bra, suspender and thongJust when I think that I am top of Fleur of England‘s ever evolving lingerie range, I spy something of theirs on social media that makes my most-coveted list in a flash.  Pure, romantic white – the Forever collection is inspired by coral beaches and dreamy getaways, created from bespoke in-house embroidered tulle and silk satin.

All your favourite Fleur signatures are here; the boudoir bra and the bow tie brief, and there is a wonderful standout piece, the modern sleek fishtail skirt.  The skirt reminds me of some of the mesh styles that Milly NY sent down the runway last summer when inner wear/outerwear was in full force along the catwalks.  With a nude slip underneath I think this skirt has a wonderful dual functionality.

There is also a balcony style bra and baby doll dress which would make a lovely honeymoon or holiday item. This is feel-good-look-great lingerie.  To view the entire Forever collection, click HERE.

Introducing: Madame Supertrash

Madame Supertrash

Madame Supertrash swimA combined this Friday post for lingerie and swimwear, prior to everyone jet-setting off on their summer holidays.  My attention has turned to Madame Supertrash - a vintage inspired collection of intimates paired this season with a swim line to match.

A 40s- and 50s- style collection in electric blue and pastel hues, Madame Supertrash’s current lingerie range is body sculpting at its very best. Sheer bodysuits, high waisted briefs and cleavage enhancing bras a la Joan Holloway all vie for your attention.  Some well placed cut outs and metal fastenings update the collection for the modern lingerie connoisseur.

The swim collection, aligned with the current Madame Supertrash lingerie aesthetic, is a beautiful monochrome and vintage rose print mix of bikinis, retro one-pieces and cover ups.  Zou bisous bisous indeed.

You can purchase Madame Supertrash from Beautifully UndressedJournelle, Petit Bisous, Figleaves and Prohibido. With thanks to The BodyWear Office.

Friday Lingerie Lust: LoveStories Intimates

LoveStoriesLingerie1June sees a welcome return to the things I love to blog about and probably know best – lingerie.  I put a temporary ‘pause’ on all things intimate last month to have some adventures finding new brands and designers to bring you as well as the latest collections from all my old favourites.  I hope you won’t be disappointed, so please read on and return each Friday for a glance, whether you are interested in lingerie as a gift to self, or as a gift to another.

LoveStories Intimates - a Dutch brand with an eye for unique, individual pieces that can be mixed and matched – steers away from traditional lingerie fabrics in favour of mixed prints and differing textures: smooth velvet, sequins, luxurious lace, intricate jacquard,  lurex and rich silk.  Two main themes dominate the current collection: ‘The Undercovers‘ - soft triangle bralettes and delicate slips; and ‘The Cover-Ups - pajama’s and boxer shorts, oversized velvet shirts, well-fit bodysuits, dainty dresses, quirky socks and fun eye-masks.

LoveStories is the brainchild of multi-talented Marloes Hoedeman, who is first and foremost a fashion and interior stylist. Hoedeman began her brand in the hopes of creating beautiful underwear for herself: a combination of high quality products blended with an affordable price. Her biggest inspirations, which guide her creative process, are exploring and travelling the world, filmography and literature. With LoveStories she appeals to women who are looking for comfortable lingerie that can be styled and worn with ease, diminishing the time-consuming complications of trying hundreds of styles on in pursuit of the discovering the perfect garment.”

My favourite pieces from the collection have an ‘underwear becomes outerwear’ lean.  The sheer spotted bodysuits and the rich velvety camisoles.  There is much to love in the latest campaign, shot in a country estate amidst quirky antiques and relics from hunting trips in and around the manor.

A boutique will open in Amsterdam’s ’9 Streets’ shopping district this summer. In the meantime stay tuned to the LoveStories website to be the first in line to purchase.
