IDSarrieri-Lingerie-SS14I.D. Sarrieri is couture lingerie with a vintage feel, an opulent mix of silk satin, silk mousseline and Chantilly lace.  For SS14 they bring us another wonderfully glittering (Swarovski elements provide that additional dash of glamour) and seductive collection of gowns and short dresses, bra and brief sets and my favourite I.D. Sarrieri signature piece, the peplum bustier.

For the woman who appreciates the finer things in life, and for the man who wants to fulfill her dreams, I.D. Sarrieri  designs are also amongst the most glamorous and luxurious in the world. With tremendous attention to detail, the brand mixes traditional lingerie contour techniques to achieve modern couture status.

My favourites from SS14: Audrey moulded padded bodysuit; high waist maxi brief and Dominatrice set.

Now available to purchase via their online shop, visit I.D. Sarrieri to see more from SS14 couture.

I.D. Sarrieri StyleOnTheCouchI.D. Sarrieri’s collection for SS13 is a devastatingly elegant and luxurious range of lingerie and ready to wear created in tulle, Georgette and satin fabrics.  The collection overall takes elegance on an bold adventure; “inverting roles between transparence and opaque creates new forms of expression for femininity” I.D. Sarrieri tells us.

“Ensembles for the new season mix silk satin pieces with full lace articles. Vintage inspired designs take to the front row retro bras with pointed cups to be combined with full circle skirt, quoting from the fifties swing dance floor outfit. Unique models with special rear decolletage, usually marked with metallic zippers, reinforce the statement that style starts from the smallest details. At the edge of two pieces versus one piece lingerie stands the bullet bra attached to high waist maxi briefs, thus creating striking looks very pliable to conspicuous, voguish outfits.”

“Structural bustiers in gored hips style. Full lace midi dresses beautifully revealing the back.  Gracefully contoured bodysuits with posh neckline detail made of Swarovski Elements. Diaphanous see through camisole with ample tulle pleats. ‘Vamporama’ bodysuits garnished with elastic straps. Mini dress in lace with built in satin bodysuit. These are the key elements of a season that take boudoir apparel to an extended level of sophistication, converting lingerie into borderline pieces between underpinnings and central items of an outfit.”

The colours of I.D. Sarrieri for SS13 are the things that excite me.  Alongside dramatic black, soft hues of lucite green, dusty jade, rose and lilac feature.  The brand have a wonderfully dynamic illustration of femininity I often try to capture in my Lingerie Lust posts – a little of the romantic Prima Ballerina, a little of the Bonnie (as in & Clyde), a little of the classic Hepburn.  Mostly, I.D. Sarrieri have given me my Carrie Bradshaw moment. And I thank them for it :)

WoodWood The Shop At BlueBird Opening StyleOnTheCouch

It is, Blog Reader, a week of much activity as I’m currently in London to attend some of the shows and events surrounding London Fashion Week.  Hence there is no lingerie focus today and instead I’m posting a few snapshots of the things I’ve been up to since I arrived.  It is beautiful weather here in the city for the first day of LFW – Zoe Jordan opened with her autumn winter collection for 2013/14 in the Courtyard Space at Somerset House, a delightful mix of bold bright colours, structured separates and metallics which were my favourites.  I particularly liked the bodice style tops, a little warrior princess, a little androgynous too.

I also had the opportunity to visit the new space within The Shop at Bluebird dedicated to Scandinavian clothing brand Wood Wood with my friend Anna from South Molton St Style, as well as previewing the new I.D. Sarrieri lingerie collection at Cafe Royal, a fitting location for this luxury brand to show their new designs.  I.D Sarrieri’s pieces seem so much more beautiful in reality than they appear in their lookbook, something I would have thought impossible yet the styles embellished with Swarovski elements really dazzle…!

A visit to the new Cambridge Satchel Company store in Covent Garden, a browse in one of my favourite high street retailers Reiss and previewing designs from Kzeniya, Christopher Waller and Muriee means I already have plenty to write about when this week is over. Waller in particular is a great new find for me.

I’ve missed attending the New York shows and events this year, but I’m enjoying exploring London’s talent again.  You can check out the full London Fashion Week line up here.
