Friday Lingerie Lust: I.D. Sarrieri Couture SS14

ID Sarrieri-SS14-lingerie

IDSarrieri-Lingerie-SS14I.D. Sarrieri is couture lingerie with a vintage feel, an opulent mix of silk satin, silk mousseline and Chantilly lace.  For SS14 they bring us another wonderfully glittering (Swarovski elements provide that additional dash of glamour) and seductive collection of gowns and short dresses, bra and brief sets and my favourite I.D. Sarrieri signature piece, the peplum bustier.

For the woman who appreciates the finer things in life, and for the man who wants to fulfill her dreams, I.D. Sarrieri  designs are also amongst the most glamorous and luxurious in the world. With tremendous attention to detail, the brand mixes traditional lingerie contour techniques to achieve modern couture status.

My favourites from SS14: Audrey moulded padded bodysuit; high waist maxi brief and Dominatrice set.

Now available to purchase via their online shop, visit I.D. Sarrieri to see more from SS14 couture.

Friday Lingerie Lust: I.D Sarrieri

It is, Blog Reader, a mystery why I.D Sarrieri designs have escaped me thus far.  Functional and stylish, the label (featured in Vogue, Harpers Bazaar and Madame Figaro as well as the movie The Devil Wears Prada) is a mix of vintage inspiration and modern trends.  I find their mainline collection perfectly complimentary for feminine curves and I need one of their bodysuits in my life stat (see bottom photo, right, top of my list).

That’s what lingerie does… take your breath away ~ Sarrieri

With collection names that sum up both the sumptuous nature of the designs as well as hinting at fun – e.g. Heartbeats & Co.; J’aime La Dentelle and my favourite, ‘Dating A Royal‘ – there is a great deal of diversity within the Sarrieri umbrella but with an overall appreciation of beautiful, delicate shapes and patterns and some strong direction from founder Lulia Dobrin and her design team.

Wear your passions and rule the world ~ Sarrieri

The brand is available to buy in key stores worldwide, including my favourite Selfridges in the UK, Henri Bendel and Saks Fifth Avenue in the US and 10 Corso Corso in Milan.

From the spring 2012 collection two of my favourites are Confidence, picture above, left, a bold, sheer crimson design and Fairy Tale, above, right, a very pretty ivory satin and lace line.  Given the editorial I am presenting here, it is no wonder that Forbes named I.D Sarrieri as one of the most luxurious lingerie labels around.

If you are stuck for ideas on lingerie – I urge you to check out the Sarrieri website to be inspired.  Deeply stylish, please don’t buy the body suit before I do, Blog Reader…

Have a great weekend! I’m still travelling, heading off to Austin, Texas for a long weekend. I’ll be posting travel pics on my adventure tumblr whilst away – but blogging and tweeting continues this time since it’s only a mini break.  My plans largely centre around eating great food (i.e Uchi and Salt Lick!!), meeting new friends and seeing more of Austin.  And buying that Stetson.  Maybe.  Would that make an outfit post??

Friday Lingerie Lust: Else

Finding new designers in the places I travel to is one of my favourite things.  I’m busy planning a trip to Turkey for early summer and I was feeling inspired to look around to see if I could find some lingerie for this week’s “lust” from the country.  I found the very glamorous Else Lingerie which is surely going to find it’s way into my suitcase come the end of my trip.

Else is the creation of founder and designer Ela Onur, born in Istanbul, who studied in the US before returning to Turkey to start her label in 2007.

The whole idea behind Else is the effort to make a woman feel glamorous, confident and comfortable while carrying a special set of lingerie” Onur tells us.  Else’s signature collection is made from 100% silk and hand crafted.  There is also a smaller diffusion line on offer, Something Else – a more playful, youthful collection than the main range.  My favourite collection so far is spring summer 2011, a gorgeously feminine mix of silk and lace in sugary pastels (pictures, above).  Autumn winter of the same year was a marked change with geometric and Chevron patterns and uber sensual sheer fabrics (picture below):

Another very different overall look (I love a designer who innovates each time around, which Onur clearly does) is seen for 2012 – vibrant hues and floral prints in a collection based around a botanical theme (I see lingerie is big on nature this year, did you see last week’s lingerie feature, Blog Reader?)

Luckily we don’t all need to travel to Turkey to purchase Else Lingerie.  (You will miss out on the amazing view from the Lycian Way and the delights of the sunken city Batik Sehir but I promise to post some photos later in the year, Blog Reader).  You can buy Else from Journelle in NYC, BHLDN and the lovely Forty Winks boutique in Boston, MA.   A full list of stockists is given on their website. What else do you need?!*

Have a great weekend! StyleOnTheCouch xo
