Friday Lingerie Lust: Mimi Holliday

Mimi Holliday has a series of bold, bright and irresistibly tempting collections inspired by cocktails to dazzle you this spring.  I love the rainbow colours of this drinks-themed line – silk, satin and lace are punctuated throughout by neon trims, polka dot print and graphic panelling.

Mimi Holliday was created in 2003, a diffusion line for the Damaris brand.  Perhaps a more wearable version of its parent line, Mimi Holliday’s signatures are structured balcony bras, hipster knickers and bow detailing.  Mimi always offers some very pretty and flattering designs for  day wear, although I often feel some sets cross over into the category of special occasion lingerie.

Pina Colada (picture immediately above, right), a zesty collection created in fushia and contrasting canary yellow, is an attempt to “bring the spirit of summer carnival directly to your lingerie drawer“.    Frappe, (picture top, right) is one of my favourites.  Designed in poppy red silk satin and red scallop lace I think the bras are incredibly flattering and the colour is powerful and fun.

Mojito (picture middle, left) is a delicate combination of peach lace teamed with a lime silk satin and finished with bows in a tempting bubblegum pink shade.  My second favourite collection, Blue Lagoon (picture immediately, above, right) has a fabulous plunge neckline – the navy and white polka dot combination feels a little more grown up and chic to me; very wearable and classic.

There are plenty of others to choose from should I not have covered your drink of choice here – you can select Kir RoyalFizz Gig (very romantic), Whiskey Sour, Sangria and more.  Mimi Holliday, though the diffusion line of Damaris, is doing an excellent job at holding its own in the lingerie world.

Happy Friday, Blog Reader! xo

  5. I just wrote you a long and wonderful comment and WordPress insisted I couldn’t publish it because of account settings… I hit the back button and now it’s gone forever :( Sigh. I’ve had such a crazy week, and particularly day, that I doubt I’ll be able to properly recreate it. But the gist was that in spite of my whirlwind life, I found myself thinking of your weekly lingerie post, and that I hadn’t had a chance to read it yet… And as always, the collection you’ve featured does not disappoint :)
