I have been wholly captivated by the spring 2012 lingerie and loungewear collection by La Perla. Already a huge fan of the label, their 60s inspired editorial for the new line, in the style of Audrey Hepburn meets Jackie Onassis meets Elizabeth Taylor, shows a truly glamorous and luxurious collection. There is always something for everyone at La Perla and spring 2012 is no exception. My favourite piece, the blow up vintage triangle bra (picture above) is a delicate leavers lace and embroidered tulle bra just the right peachy pink shade to look youthful but appear romantic and grown up too.
The collection uses some very fresh spring colours like this lemon chiffon yellow (above) as well as developing some styles in black for the femme fatale like this beautiful chemise (below).
Finally, another of my favourites is this white / ivory tulle nightgown, below. I love the decorative neckline.
I was wowed even further by La Perla’s spring swimwear collection – and that’s a post for another day – but I wanted to share this image with you – exactly the sort of poolside glamour I’ll be aiming for this summer…. (it remains to be seen if I will achieve even half of this).

My obsession with pastels this spring has me head over heels for this collection from La Perla – not to mention that the retro Audrey-Jackie-Elizabeth inspiration is right up my vintage loving alley. I like the feel that the pieces have of being created for comfort as well as beauty; they’re delicate feminine and luxurious but also look like they would be glorious to wear. I can’t wait to see more on their swimwear line, the one photo you shared looks extremely promising!

It really is stunning, especially that very first set…. If only I could buy La Perla all the time….. then I would probably be naked (to a degree since I’d have La Perla), hungry and broke.

Oh that nightgown is divine. I need it in my closet. The pieces are fantastic!
When I first saw that nightgown I didn’t see it as a kind of cover up at all but a fantastic piece in its own right. I love how La Perla get it right, time after time. xo
