London Style and European Travel…

I’m at the end of my London visit *sob*.  Next I’m flying over to Turkey to see one of my close friends get married in what sounds like an amazing beach ceremony.  I’m staying on in Turkey for a holiday so I’ll be taking a short blog break too.  I’m hoping to have some fabulous images of the places I’m visiting along the south-west coast of Turkey for you when I get back to NYC, Blog Reader.

As I wave goodbye to London and all the amazing Jubilee preparations I’m reminded that I have a little piece of the city in New York with this skyline top by Emma Louise London.  Part of Emma’s spring summer collection 2012, a wonderful tribute to London, this pale mint tunic top with red print is also available in shift dress style.

One thing I noticed in London this visit was the amount of colour around.  Sure, Londoners do black as well as the chic-est of New Yorkers, but there is more of a uniform in Manhattan and more room, it seems, for eclecticism and mixing trends, colour and print, in London.

These Zara heels have been firmly packed in my luggage for this trip. I am amazed Zara haven’t run out yet, I’ve seen so many people wearing them.  And for good reason, they are a beautiful sandal shape and comfortable too.  I’d keep your eye on Zara bags & shoes over the next few months, Blog Reader – they are already ahead of the game with the metallic trend for autumn / winter, I spied this ankle strap sandal in gold which seems like the perfect way to get some shimmer into your wardrobe…

Don’t miss me too much, Blog Reader *wink*

I may not have my regular internet access for tweeting but you can catch up with my adventures on Twitter or tune into my Travel Tumblr for a few pictures over the next week or so.  See you again soon and as always thank you for reading and following* StyleOnTheCouch xo

Wow, your London visit seemed to fly by – even to me! I can’t believe that you’re leaving so soon, but I’m unbearably envious that your next destination is Turkey. I’ve been dreaming of visiting for years, particularly Istanbul. Enjoy. I can’t wait to hear all about it when you’re back :)

I adore those shoes you have. I expected them to be in the hundreds range and decided to click on to the website and check it out. WOW!! They are pretty decent priced. I’m definitely going to purchase them when I get my next paycheck. I’ll be sure to let you know when I post a picture of me up with the shoes. BTW, the entire outfit is a win, win. Enjoy your time in Turkey.

Oh deary me, you are making me miss London soooo much!!!! I love the photo of the flag!!!! It sounds like your trip to Turkey will be amazing. I actually went to my cousin’s wedding ceremony in Sydney years back and it was located on the beach too, it was simply beautiful! They had a orchestra band playing music whilst friends and kids were blowing water bubble in the background. It was soo romantic…hehe I hope you will have a fab time at your friend’s wedding too!!!!

As for your shoes, i’ve seen them around a few times and i did not know they were from Zara! They are sooo lovely, love the suede material and the popping orange color is oh so gorge! Im surprised they are comfy as my friend said Zara heels kill her feet like mad! lol…

And before i forget, i LOVE that new york sky line top!!! There color that you coordinated in this outfit is perfect=)

I look forward to more photos soon!!!

Fleet Ilya are one of my favourite brands. Really love how you are going understated with just using the simple cuff in all manner of ensembles. It shows how versatile their products are.
