Friday Lingerie Lust: Fleur of England

Fleur Turner, founder and creative director of Fleur of England celebrates a decade of lingerie design with her Autumn/Winter 2011 collections.  Fleur and her Bristol based design team are well known for leading the way in British Lingerie Design.  They have been commissioned to create limited edition collections for Liberty of London and have won several lingerie awards including ‘Fashion Export Newcomer’ in 2003.  Boutiques worldwide stock her designs, including Teddies for Bettys in Austin, Faire Frou Frou in Los Angeles, Harvey Nicols in the UK and All The Pretty Things in Australia.

With a signature style of romance with a splash of sauce, Fleur of England‘s collections are based around five moods: fiercely feminine, powerful, romantic, playful and luxurious

What I love about the label is that this season, to mark their 10th anniversary, their five new collections are both distinct and diverse.  We see a very modern, contemporary look in the bold blue silk and satin mesh in the Electric collection (below) and blush silk and French eyelash lace shape the classic (and in keeping with Fleur’s signature style) Darling collection (above)

Iconic is one of my favourites.  Onyx black silk, French Levers lace, silver accessories and fishnet straps – Fleur of England at its sexiest.  The babydoll dress from this collection was recently featured in British Vogue:

This collection reminds me a little of La Dolce Vita – Anita Ekberg and the Trevi Fountain scene…

To be in with a chance at winning £500 of Fleur lingerie, be sure to check out their “Letters to my Darling” competition.  Celebrating the arrival of the new Darling collection, Fleur invite you to forget tweets and texting for a moment and rediscover the art of the love letter

They are also offering free worldwide shipping until October 17th.

I hope you’ll explore Fleur of England for yourself Blog Reader, as there are a total of eighteen other collections, in addition to the five that are new for Fall, on their website.  They also design luxury swimwear and and host a delightful bridal boutique.  Happy browsing!

Have a fabulous weekend xo styleonthecouch

I really admire your knowledge of the world of lingerie, every time I read these posts I can’t help thinking just how little I know! But I do know what I like, and I love the long satin ribbon ties on the Fleur of England pieces. Just gorgeous.
PS: I’m not certain that we’re the same size… You always seem so tall and willowy in photos, but it’s hard to know! My Fendi shoes are size 35.5, for a start :)
