Spring Cover Ups.

Spring time often brings the good and the bad weather.  The April rail seems to be fighting with the first bursts of Spring in NY right now, resulting in a pretty changeable forecast for us here in Manhattan.  I actually don’t mind this, it gives me a good excuse to rock out last year’s Spring coat from ASOS which I bought because I just loved the colour, a pastel lavender shade that makes me dream of fluff and clouds…

What do you do, this time of the year Blog Reader – ditch your winter coat immediately for short sleeves or do you have a favourite Spring coat or jacket, you could share with me?

Here are some of my favourite cover-ups for Spring, below, starting with my ultimate favourite this year, staying with pastels – this scalloped blazer from ASOS:

And some more favourites:

What an unusual and lovely coat! I’ve never seen a cut quite like it and that’s what makes it so wonderful, and the pristine shade of white is even better :)

I just found your blog via twitter FF and I am so glad I did! What a lovely blog you’ve got here. LOOOOVE that trench burberry-inspired coat – I had my eye on it back then, but when I was ready to buy, it was sold out. Your spring favourites are beautiful, especially the ASOS blazer (and the skirt), the colours are amazing.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

That lavender coat has such a lovely colour! Speaking of which, I’ve been looking for a pair of lavender pumps for a long time! Must keep searching!

I loved the pale colour when I bought it. I worried about what it would go with, but it looks just great with a pair of jeans or over a Spring dress. Win all round. Bargain price from ASOS too. Good luck with your search for pumps!

Love the colour of that coat! As it’s becoming cooler here I’m rediscovering my blazers. I just bought a vintage DVF blazer from Etsy that looks very similar to the French Connection example you feature here. I’ll bet you’re looking forward to spring!

I was just going to say! Burberry inspiration! Gorgeous coat. So unique! I don’t really have a nice transition coat, and have been looking around for one. Have yet to find it though! Loving all the pastels. My favourite colours.

That trench is stunning. I love the abstract fabric swirls. I have been on the prowl for a nice trench and the minute I make up my mind to buy one, it is sold out (tried Banana Republic and TopShop with the same results). Maybe I’ll give Asos a shot this week. I need to just buy and think later….

What an amazing coat…I LOVE it on you!
I have a beautiful Rebecca Taylor trench in a pinkish color that I bring out from March-May…although it was expensive for three months of wear…it was just so gorgeous I had to have it. Good news is that it has most definitely paid for itself…I have had for 7 years and it is still in great shape!

Oh I love your trench and how elaborate yet simple it is. The Reiss one is really good too with its strict shape. I haven’t worn mine yet: weather is either too warm or too cold here!
